How South Digital accesses, uses and stores data through its private Google Ads tool.

Last updated 5 October 2026

## 01\. Operator and contact

South Digital operates South Ads Operations for its own Google Ads account. Questions about the tool or its stored data can be sent to zac@south.digital.

## 02\. Data accessed

The tool retrieves account identifiers, account name, currency, timezone and account status. It can retrieve campaign identifiers and names, status, channel, bidding strategy, dates and budget settings, plus aggregate impressions, clicks, cost and conversions for a requested period. It does not retrieve individual leads, customer contact lists or conversion-level records.

## 03\. How data is used

This information is used to check account identity, review campaign configuration and performance, and support South's advertising decisions. Keyword-research functions send chosen keywords, locations, language and forecast assumptions to Google and retrieve keyword ideas, historical search metrics and estimates. Estimates do not guarantee traffic, enquiries or revenue.

## 04\. Local records

The local tool uses Google's authentication and Ads services. It stores selected request settings, returned data, timestamps and integrity checks in local receipt files outside the source repository. Failed operations retain restricted error identifiers instead of raw provider error messages. Credentials are stored separately; generated report receipts do not intentionally include credentials.

## 05\. AI-assisted review

When the operator uses OpenAI Codex to review reports, selected report contents and related instructions can be sent to OpenAI for processing and can appear in the conversation. Running the Ads command locally does not make this analysis exclusively on-device. The Ads CLI itself does not call an OpenAI API; this processing occurs through the operator's separate assistant session.

The operator currently uses a personal ChatGPT account. Its model-improvement preference was switched off and verified on 4 October 2026. This is not a claim of zero retention, deletion of earlier conversations, or Enterprise data terms. OpenAI's processing and retention are separate from the local receipt files and depend on the applicable service terms and account controls.

## 06\. Storage and retention

Local files are restricted to the operating-system user. These restrictions do not establish that the device or its backups are encrypted. The current release has no automatic receipt deletion: files remain until the operator removes them. This notice does not promise a fixed deletion deadline or deletion of copies held by Google, an AI provider or backups.

## 07\. Stopping access and requesting deletion

The owner can stop future tool access by removing the dedicated Read only user from Google Ads and revoking its impersonation access. Removing access does not delete existing local reports. Requests to review or remove local data should be directed to the contact above; credential revocation and data deletion are separate operations.
